Dr Bryan's presentation will include observations about:   

        •The disappearance of the working landscape and the family farm and ranch.

        • Vulnerability of our nation’s food supply and the abundance of healthy foods.

        • Industrial agriculture and its role in this country’s dependence on fossil fuels and carbon emissions.

        • The erosion and breakdown of a rural/urban connection. It has been the backbone of this country’s heritage and world prominence.

        • A developing environmental agenda not based on sound ecological and land management practices.

        • Abandoning the concept of our individual and collective roles and responsibilities as “Gardeners of Eden.”
        
        • The growth of agritourism in western and Midwestern communities.
