Dr Bryan's presentation will include observations about:

The disappearance of the working landscape and the family farm and ranch.

Vulnerability of our nation’s food supply and the abundance of healthy foods.

Industrial agriculture and its role in this country’s dependence on fossil fuels and carbon emissions.

The erosion and breakdown of a rural/urban connection. It has been the backbone of this country’s heritage and world prominence.

A developing environmental agenda not based on sound ecological and land management practices.

Abandoning the concept of our individual and collective roles and responsibilities as “Gardeners of Eden.”

The growth of agritourism in western and Midwestern communities.
