The Z61t has ratings of 4.5 or 4.7 on all, except 3.3 on graphics and 3.1 on
gaming graphics.

Of course Microsoft took steps through the Upgrade Advisor to warn people of
resource costs. I was just surprised that the fancy effect of making the
window bars transparent was costing me 6% CPU of a machine that's just a
year or so old. Since I don't like the effect and in fact it hampers my
work, it's nice to get 6% of my computer back.

I personally remain convinced that in 99% of cases people should not upgrade
an existing machine to Vista. Only in rare cases, where you have a specific
benefit, should you upgrade. Buy a new computer if you want Vista, IMHO.

Check the ratings of the machines that people are complaining about are they
above two maybe at 3.
