Attn all farmers!!

Here is an opportunity offered by MIFFS (Michigan Food and Farming Systems) to apply for a scholarship to attend the Risk Management Strategies for Beginning and Small Farmers and Ranchers Conference in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on September 12-15, 2007.   MIFFS’ purpose is to advance and sustain food and farming systems in which agricultural productivity, environmental stewardship, and profitability reinforce each other for the benefit of Michigan’s rural and urban communities.

 

 

MIFFS sponsorship will include registration, hotel, and some travel (we will try to coordinate carpooling to defray travel cost). 

 

Due to the limited scholarships available, we are asking interested individuals to fill out the application and send it back to MIFFS by August 8^th.  After we receive all applications, we plan to contact the selected individuals by August 14^th .  Unfortunately, we will only be able to take one family member per household.
