Technology Helpdesk Support Specialist
Full-time, 12-month staff position

DUTIES: The Michigan State University College of Law seeks a Technology Helpdesk Support Specialist. This position provides helpdesk coverage and solves trouble tickets, with an emphasis on PC troubleshooting. Other significant duties include instructional technology support. This position includes some flexible schedule of hours to provide technology support for evening and weekend events.

QUALIFICATION: Requires a thorough knowledge of pc, audio and video equipment and related software. Experience in supporting video conferences strongly preferred. A familiarity with computer hardware, peripheral devices, Windows 2000/XP; end-user knowledge of Microsoft office and Corel WordPerfect; a proficiency in diagnosing and solving associated problems; excellent communication and customer services skills. This job requires the knowledge equivalent normally acquired in a Bachelors Degree in computer technology, information systems or multimedia arts. A candidates education and experience may be an equivalent combination of that described in the job description.
