We have an Information Technologist I position available (posting # 591) that has been posted for off-campus applicants. The short description is: Manages an active directory domain which includes Windows 2000/2003 Servers with XP/2000/NT clients and other standalone computers used in teaching, research, and administration; this currently includes maintenance of about nine Windows 2000/2003 Servers and approximately 400 Windows and Macintosh computers; analyzes computing and networking requests and problems; finds solutions that satisfy department members' complex and varied needs; works as a member of the department's computing services team to develop and implement plans for upgrades, disaster recovery, and for streamlining maintenance of PCs and servers, including Solaris and Red Hat Linux computers; supervises student staff in testing, troubleshooting, resolving problems, and answering computing questions.
