I suppose I should have mentioned the language bit.
If you scroll down a ways English is present. But the most important word "Download" appears to be the same as our "Download".
 
When you run the install it will setup in English.

On my kids & parents Windows machines, I use HitmanPro http://www.hitmanpro.nl/  followed up by Microsoft's Antispyware. http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/default.mspx 
 
If something makes it past that combination the drive will have to be wiped and Linux installed. HitmanPro can take a long time as it automatically runs a growing list of antispyware products. After it finishes you can read a report on which product did what.
