Unfortunately I can read every language except Dutch.  ;-)

P.S.  It's all Dutch to me...

On my kids & parents Windows machines, I use HitmanPro http://www.hitmanpro.nl/  followed up by Microsoft's Antispyware. http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/default.mspx

If something makes it past that combination the drive will have to be wiped and Linux installed. HitmanPro can take a long time as it automatically runs a growing list of antispyware products. After it finishes you can read a report on which product did what.

Subject: [MSUNAG] Anti-spyware vs. current anti-virus software / suites?

Last time we discussed this at NAG, several months ago, folks still suggested using not just one, but instead at least two, of the popular anti-spyware titles.

Has this recommendation changed since then?  How well do the current versions of anti-virus software, or security suites, perform the anti-spyware function?

Thanks,
