GLIMA Mid-Michigan: The Michigan Telecom Act rewrite
Experts in Michigan telecommunications, information technology and media law
will offer a variety of outlooks on the current rewrite of the Michigan
Telecom Act in a program entitled PROSPECTS FOR MID-MICHIGAN AND THE CAPITAL
CITY REGION IN REWRITING THE MICHIGAN TELECOM ACT. The event is set for
Thursday, October 6, 2005 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on the campus of Michigan
State University. These experts will share their views on this new
legislation from the perspectives of telephone, cable, wireless, internet,
broadcasting and other telecommunication systems and services. The event
will be held at the Communication Arts & Sciences Building in Auditorium
Room 147.
In addition to individual presentations, a panel discussion including a
question & answer session with the audience will be held.
The panel discussion will be moderated by Professor D. Adam Candeub from the
Michigan State University College of Law. Based upon the interaction already
generated by this new legislation, the program promises to give attendees
the opportunity to clearly understand this new development in the fields of
telecom information and media.
This event will also allow attendees to network with other
technology-oriented professionals in the Mid-Michigan region.
