So it is for sure on June 7th? I had heard earlier this week it was
going to be June 6th.  Can it be reverified?

 

Sorry for asking the question, just want to avoid any possible
confusion.

KCP Coordinators & Supporters:

 

Through the coordination of the WSU government affairs office, Tuesday,

June 7, 2005 has been confirmed as the KCP Lobby Day at the state

capitol in Lansing. WSU govt. office will contact govt affairs

counterparts at the 14 other state universitities. A summary outline of

the Lobby Day is as follows;

 

9:00 a.m.- 9:45 a.m. Briefing Session

10:00 a.m. - 12:00 am Meetings with House Members from your
area/district

12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. Lunch on your own

1:15 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Meetings with Senators from your area/district

3:15 p.m. Picture on the Capitol Steps

 

Action Items

 

* Harvey Hollins, WSU Govt. Affairs will facilitate/review the breifing

process

 

* Talking Points-as identified at the Equity Conference at Western

Michigan and the Save the KCP Program at Michigan State need to be the

focus of the message to the legislators

 

* Select active student participants who have benefited from the several

KCP components to come with us to Lansing talk with legislators

 

* May 23 KCP Coordinators Mtg at Lansings will provide time to review

and update the Lobby Day

 

* Dr. Bellamy will provide feedback from the Prayer Breakfast

presentation with the Black Caucus

 

* Please confirm your attendance/ participation with student

participants to me through this Equity Listserv by the end of the

workday on Monday, May 16
