Does anyone know of a way for any one user of a group of users to effectively map to their own AFS space on a Group Policy locked down machine? The library utilizes a lot of student workers. We wouldn't be able to stay open without several of them. ;-) We're using Group Policy off Server 2003 to lock down the student work stations. We use desktop settings on a server to provide only what they need to do their jobs. The C:\ drive is not accessible to them. Largely this has been great. All the students in a given work area log on with the one permitted log on and have the desktop icons and server space they need to do their work. Some have full internet access and others are limited to sites accessable via the library proxy server. We have one department that wants to allow students to do their homework during slack time which will require the students have access to their AFS space since we don't want them saving home personal work or downloads to their departments storage space on the server.
