We have 2 HP DesignJet 800s (42 inch)... they get used quite heavily,
especially during this time of the year when final projects are due.
They've worked quite well.

We use BakBone NetVault for backups on Solaris, but it also supports
Linux as well.   Again, decent software considering alternatives and
their corresponding prices.  It is really easy to install and use.
