We had someone's laptop that had previously been registered for DHCP be given a crippled 35.15 IP address this morning. IPCONFIG release/renew only got us only another crippled address at first, but then after about 15 mins (at around 10:30 am) it was successful in getting an unrestricted IP 35.10 address. This seems to point to some problem with the campus DHCP service that got fixed, except it sounds like your problem occurred AFTER ours did. Hmmm... Tom Thomas P. After that, the users were back to work.
