I have never heard of using Alt+F1, is that for older versions of NW? I
know that in NW5+ you press Alt+Esc to cycle through the console screens
(Like Alt+Tab in windows) or you can press Alt+Esc to get a list of
current screens and select the one you want by number.

Try Alt-F1 to cycle through the various Netware screens without closing
any of them.
Once you get to the screen called command console (I think that's what
you see
across the top), you should see a prompt. Type ver to get the version.
It's certainly
no newer than 4.11.
