You may want to read the Symantec message regarding SP2. I have experienced
issues with there products.

I am using SP2 on my home system and have absolutely no problems using Chat
Progs. I use AOL, Yahoo, ICQ and MSN. All seem to be running just fine

Yes and it works fine but...
It didn't break anything on the two I've tried it on but I don't do chat.
Due to the firewall being on by default some things that users install won't
work and will be perceived as broken. I don't want it to auto install on
staff machines. We'll push it with SUS later after we setup the
configuration we want for it.

Since you are rolling out new machines you should be fine. Install SP2 on a
fresh XP load. Install your applications one at a time on the reference
machine and test all applications after each new install. If something
breaks you will know which one to start looking at.

If anyone finds apps that are affected, other then peer to peer and chat
apps, please pass the word to everyone else.

Has anyone installed SP2 on machines yet, and do you have any comments?
I'm rolling out a bunch of new machines this month and I'd like to know
if I should be including SP2 on the image I"ll be using, or if I should
wait.
