Yes, I noticed how the Security Center behaves differently on standalone
computers vs domain members.  My standalone computers are running Panda
Antivirus, but I was able to go into the Security Center and tell it that
the machine was running antivirus software and would handle its own
monitoring.  Did this with the Firewall setting, too.  Once I'd checked
those two flags, Security Center stays in the background and doesn't bug me.
(These two machines are at home, so I don't recall the exact steps to change
these settings, but I recall it being pretty intuitive.)
