The best way to accomplish this is configuring an unattended install. You can install software, hotfixes, and specify installation parameters all on a bootable cd. Just put it in and walk away! Here is a link to a forum that will put you on the right track... http://bink.nu/Forums/ShowForum.aspx?ForumID=13 You also may want to look at BARTPE, a variant on the MS preinstall enviroment. http://www.nu2.nu/pebuilder/ Travis Cousineau Michigan State University Press 517-355-9543 x112 ----- Original Message ----- From: "Steve Bogdanski" <[log in to unmask]> To: <[log in to unmask]> Sent: Wednesday, May 19, 2004 9:47 AM Subject: Re: [MSUNAG] installation methods > Well almost. If you want to install the same ghost image on several machines you will need to sysprep the computer before create the image of it. Otherwise you have all kinds of issues when you bring up multiple workstations imaged with the same ghost clone. This only becomes a real problem if you have them on the network and/or run a domain (I guess the latter assumes the former). > > ________________________________________________ > Stephen Bogdanski Network Support, MSU-CVM > Michigan State University [log in to unmask] > A227 VetMed Center Phone: (517) 353-5551 > East Lansing, MI 48824 Fax: (517) 432-2937 > > > >>> Michael Justin Kalberer <[log in to unmask]> 05/18/04 11:29PM >>> > You can always use Norton Ghost.
