Our testing shows that the new version 6.1 of Eudora (PC version only) does not Authenticate when sending mail. This will prevent e-mail from being sent to any address outside of the mail.msu.edu system. The email is left in the outbox and the following error message is returned. "550 relay denied message ... try turning on authentication and encryption" A problem has been filed on this issue and the mail team has submitted a bug report to Qualcomm. A bulletin has also been added to http://help.msu.edu/status. Scott G.
