I have been using the free version for several months now. It seems like a very good way to keep track of patch status on our ~80 systems. I had thought about purchasing it, but it seemed like it would run over $1000 for us. I ended up setting up a Microsoft SUS server, which works fairly well to push out critical/security patches. Then I just use HFnetchk to verify that the patches installed. The free version lets you patch 10 workstations and a server. I did check with Shavlik and they were interested in doing a site license at MSU, but I never pursued that further. One problem we had with HFnetchkpro was trying to scan a NT4-style domain managed on a Samba box. We couldn't figure out how to provide the credentials to allow the scan. Part of the problem might have been the computer we tried to use was W2k3 server and couldn't join the domain. Still need to work on that sometime. -John Elrashid, Amin wrote: > Hi, everyone > Any one using HFNetChkPro 4.2 patch management " www.shavlik.com " ? >
