(Sorry to bother the list with this, but with budgets the way they are...)

We only have one system with Rambus memory here, a Dell Precision 420,
now out of warranty. It looks like the memory is going bad. I've found
someone in another department that can loan me memory to confirm the
problem.

I'm pretty sure we will want to buy some memory to keep it running.
Looks like 512MB new is over $500. (that was from Kingston -- just
looked at Pricewatch, maybe $200 from a small vendor)  Does anyone have
some they would sell? Maybe from an old system that died with another
problem.

It wouldn't have to be 512MB, he could probably live with 256 or 128
until we decide whether to buy a new system, etc.

And no, we didn't want to buy Rambus, but that was the only dual
processor systems Dell sold at that time.
