To: MSU IT support staff From: MSU mail project team At 6:00am on Wednesday, December 18, a configuration change will be made to the Pilot email system. There will be no interruption in service other than possibly a brief delay in mail delivery. This change is in conjunction with the Pilot replacement project and will bring the new system's hardware online. It will result in mail being directed through the new system so that we may begin the final configuration, testing, and system tuning steps in preparation for production release during Spring semester. There will be no effect on users other than an extra header or two in each email message. As always, watch the project web site (http://www.msu.edu/service/email) for information on the new system.
