Reminder:
There will be a meeting of the MSU Network Administrators' Group (MSUNAG)
at 3:00 pm tomorrow (Friday, 15 November 2002), in room 1400 Biomedical
and Physical Sciences Bldg (in the southeast corner of the building, near
the entrance closest to the Biochemistry Bldg).
An approximate agenda follows:
- Welcome
- The usual (brief?) reports (if the appropriate people attend):
- Computer Lab news, plans for upcoming network fixes/enhancements,
and the current physical state and operational status of the campus
backbone network, dial-up system, ethernet links to off-campus, etc.
- current activities of the Network Communications Committee (NCC)
- security overview (warnings about current virus/worm activity, high-
lights from the MSUSEC & MSU-SECURITY mailing lists and [log in to unmask],
"good practice" reminders, etc.)
- news from AIS
- The featured presentation: Jim Green of the Computer Lab will give an
overview of the upcoming "mail.msu.edu" system which will replace the
aging pilot E-mail system some time in the coming year.
- Anything else that people want to talk about.
