Well it finally happened to me. The Directory Services database got
all jammed up jelly tight!

DSrepair was impotent to help. I couldn't remove the database so that
I could re-install it.

I tried to do an upgrade in place by just going from 5.0 to 5.0. No good.

Then tried 5.0 to 5.1. no good
5.0 to 5.1 with NDS 8. no good

The error message is always about the same. DS is corrupt, delete it
and redo it, etc etc but nothing will.

I can see the drives I want to save to some other media but can't
move them from the RAID 5 array to an external SCSI drive yet ( maybe
my extra external is dead, will test that after this letter ).

It's been a long and frustrating weekend and I starting to frazzle
around the edges.

Any good suggestions???
