The ODNR Division of Wildlife is pleased to announce that the Fisheries Biologist 2 at the Fairport Fisheries Station on Lake Erie position is now posted on the Ohio Jobs website

We are accepting applications through December 28, 2025, but strongly encourage early submissions.
We anticipate conducting interviews in late January or early February, with the goal of having the selected candidate start before the summer field season.
Helpful tips for applicants:
·       Be sure to include transcripts, references, a cover letter, and a resume. These materials help HR assess qualifications that may not be fully captured in the online application.
·       You should receive a confirmation email upon submission. If you don’t, contact HR immediately — there’s little that can be done after the deadline.
·       If your degree or coursework has a general title (e.g., Biology), but included a fisheries or aquatic science concentration, be sure to note that each time it’s relevant.
·       For courses with general titles, indicate the percentage of content that focused on fisheries-related topics.
·       Provide detailed responses throughout the application. Even if you’ve mentioned something earlier, repeat it in any relevant section.
