The UK Department of Forestry and Natural Resources is looking for a research analyst to primarily work on wildlife-related research projects in Kentucky and throughout the Southeast US. Position Title: Research Analyst (Wildlife)

Position Description: The Department of Forestry and Natural Resources (FNR) at the University of Kentucky is seeking a research analyst to support wildlife-related activities.  Wildlife research in FNR broadly focuses on conservation and management of both game and non-game species. Eighty percent of the position will be devoted to supporting the research of four wildlife faculty (Price, McNeil, Cox and Springer) and their graduate students with the remaining 20 percent allocated to assisting other research projects in the Department. The position supports extensive field data collection, data management and analyses, and development of technical and research reports.

Education:  M.S. preferred

Preferred Technical Skills: Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PPT); ArcGIS or other geospatial software; R or other statistical software; proficient writing skills as evidenced by published works or technical reports; excellent communication skills; standard wildlife sampling techniques
