The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is hiring a GS 7/9 social scientist to be located with the Human Dimensions Branch in Fort Collins, Colorado. This position will assist the Branch with social science technical support and communications and outreach (see announcement for more details). We are seeking candidates who are looking for an opportunity to translate their skills into the Services’ regional and national conservation work. The announcement is open to those with College Graduate or Public Lands Corps hiring authority.



The Human Dimensions Branch is part of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s National Wildlife Refuge System headquarters office and is an interesting and rewarding place to work. The Branch seeks to transform conservation outcomes by partnering with natural resource practitioners to integrate social science into conservation planning, design, delivery, and evaluation. The Branch does this by fostering social science literacy, increasing social science capacity, and increasing the application of social science within the agency.
