Job Title: Aquatic Assistant
PLM Lake & Land Management Corp (PLM) is a full-service lake and pond management company operating throughout the State of Michigan. Currently, PLM is seeking individuals to assist technicians in daily field work out of our Mid-Michigan location. The Aquatic Assistant position is a full-time seasonal job starting in April/May through August/September 2024. This position is perfect for college students home for the summer or someone who enjoys working outside and appreciates our state’s great aquatic resources.
Pay Rate & Benefits

  *   $14.00 - $16.00 / hour starting pay
  *   No weekend or holiday work
  *   Paid holidays
  *   On the job training
  *   Opportunities for advancement and certification training and testing fees paid
  *   Internships available for certain college programs
Job Description

  *   Assisting aquatic technicians with field duties
  *   Posting notifications of treatment along shoreline areas
  *   Loading/unloading work vehicles
  *   Cleaning of equipment & warehouse
  *   Assorted warehouse and office projects
Requirements

  *   Excellent verbal skills and ability to follow direction
  *   Ability to lift 50 pounds
  *   Ability to walk long distances and traverse obstacles and uneven terrain
  *   Some experience in boat and truck operation is beneficial, but not required
  *   Possess a valid Michigan driver’s license
  *   18 years of age
  *   High School diploma
Location

  *   Perry, Michigan
Schedule

  *   Available Monday through Friday from 7 am to 5 pm; paid holidays & no weekends

Currently, PLM is seeking motivated individuals to fill Aquatic Applicator positions based out of our Mid-Michigan location. The Aquatic Applicator position consists of a seasonal (8-9 month) job opportunity starting in April of 2024. Positions may qualify for advancement past seasonal employment for individuals who meet certain administrative qualifications. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys working outside, appreciates our great aquatic resources and is seeking a career in aquatics with the potential for growth.
Salary

  *   $17.00 - $22.00 / hour starting pay

Job Description
The Aquatic Applicator position is a full-time, seasonal job opportunity.
Daily duties include:

  *   Onsite management of aquatic plants and algae with approved herbicides
  *   Applying aquatic herbicides within State & Federal rules & regulation
  *   Maintain accurate daily records
  *   Daily operation of boats, trucks, four wheelers, etc.
  *   Assist in warehouse inventory management
  *   Fountain & aeration maintenance
  *   Customer relations
  *   Equipment maintenance and repairs
Requirements

  *   Ability to obtain Department of Transportation (DOT) card (we will assist with this)
  *   Ability to obtain commercial pesticide applicator category 5 and 6 (we will assist with this)
  *   Excellent verbal skills and ability to follow direction
  *   Ability to lift 50 pounds
  *   Available Monday through Friday from 7 am to 5 pm
  *   Some experience in boat and truck operation is beneficial, but not required
  *   High School diploma, some college degree preferred
  *   Possess a valid Michigan driver’s license
  *   18 years of age
