Hello MN TWS Members,

Please see attached job posting and share with others as you see fit. This position is for a temporary (~1.5 years), unclassified Wildlife Research Biologist who will work with our ungulate research team here in our MNDNR Farmland Wildlife Populations and Research Group.

This is an MS-level position with the expectation that the biologist will spend a significant amount of time in the field supervising crews and helping collect data for multiple ongoing and new research and monitoring projects (e.g., road-based distance sampling, fawn survival and habitat use (using GPS collars and drones), deer population modeling, deer aerial surveys, bowhunter observation surveys, and more) during a good portion of the year. During the non-field seasons, the biologist will also get plenty of office time to help with data management and analyses (R, GIS), report and manuscript writing, and other tasks... so s/he’ll get the best of both worlds!
