Again, sorry that I bothered you all, but I think this should end it. I
just set aside that login record in LastPass and then made a new record,
now it works as it should.
So, the original record pointed to
https://login.msu.edu/?App=ATS_Shibboleth_IdP_Idm&service=https%3A%2F%2Fidp.idm.msu.edu%2Fidp%2FAuthn%2FRemoteUser
Another record that still worked pointed to
https://login.msu.edu/?App=ATS_Shibboleth_IdP_Idm
But when I tried that with the first record, it did not work there.
The new record points to
https://login.msu.edu/Login
and that works. Go figure.
Finally, something that I got off-list from Gary Schrock that may still
be relevant: "I'm guessing lastpass has done something in the
background changing how they fill in fields, and it's causing more
problems than it used to."
