Please see below for a revised bio for Dwight Handspike, nominee for
the advising specialist position with ASAC.
"As an academic specialist of 18 years, I have had many experiences
that could help me serve as a leader in ASAC. I am currently the
Senior Associate Director in the College of Business working within
the Undergraduate Academic Services unit. My hats include teaching,
advising, research and data management, as well as administration.
During my time on campus, I have worked on initiatives connected to
study abroad, student athletes, academic orientation, housing,
residential life, international students, diversity, transfer
admissions and recruitment. The position of academic specialist is
unique and covers a broad range of responsibilities across many
disciplines. I have worked hard to establish myself as a leader on
campus and believe that my diverse background could be an asset to the
committee. I am excited for the opportunity to share, connect and
learn from others while making a difference for the specialist
community."
