MBA Program in International Business, Graduate School of Business
Sciences University of Tsukuba, Tokyo campus is looking for a junior
level female(for positive action policy) Associate Professor in
Business Organization. Starting date is September 1, 2015. Commensurate
with experience and in accordance with the University of Tsukuba
regulations and standards. This is an initial 4.5years appointment
tenure track position with possibility for renewal to a tenured position.
The University of Tsukuba's MBA in International Business program was
launched in 2005 with the educational objective of developing the future
global leaders. All courses are taught in English, and faculty meetings
are conducted in English. Classes meet on weekday evenings (Tue-Fri) and
daytime Saturdays.
Job details
1. Teach more than three courses/year related to Business Organization
(including Introduction to Management) in English at both graduate
and undergraduate levels.
2. Supervise students' business projects (equivalent to the master theses
in an academic program).
3. Carry out university-related administrative services including
overseas business trips.
Type A: Academic type
1. Ph.D. in an area of Business Organization
2. More than four reviewed academic articles
satisfy all of the following conditions.
a. related to the topics on Business Organization.
b. mostly based on the quantitative analysis approach.
c. written in English.
d. published within the last five years.
Type B: Practitioner type
1. Holding MBA or other area of master degree in the social science.
2. Working experience in the field of international Business Organization
(expatriate's experience is an advantage).
3. More than four business project achievements (published papers,
newspaper articles, books etc.) related to the area of
Business Organization achieved within the last five years.
Submission of the evidence for each achivement is required.

Selection process
1. Only short list candidate(s) will be contacted by the middle of
March,2015.
2. Initial interview will be scheduled in person or via skype.
3. Final candidate will be required to give a course (five class sessions)
as a part-time lecturer before the final decision is made.
4. The final candidate will be asked to submit additional documents
based on the University of Tsukuba's format.
