An assistantship for Fall 2015 is available in the Dept. of Horticulture at
Virginia Tech in the field of Sustainable Food Systems. M.S. or Ph.D.
applicants will be considered. Funding could include a teaching assistantship
or fellowship depending on the applicant and degree sought.
I am looking for students who can pursue one of the following areas of inquiry:
1) resiliency of agricultural systems through time related to management,
biodiversity, and climate change adaptation; 2) ecosystem service trade-offs in
agriculture with an emphasis on entomology (biological control and
pollination). Strong quantitative inclination preferred. PhD students would
be eligible to participate in Virginia Tech's interdisciplinary global change
program
