December 2014 Community Events Winter Glow to Bring Seasonal
Festivities to Downtown East Lansing This Weekend
The City of East Lansing's annual Winter Glow event will bring festive,
free fun to downtown East Lansing this Saturday, Dec. 6 from 2-5 p.m.
The Winter Glow will feature a variety of winter-inspired activities,
including a reindeer petting zoo, ice carving, horse-and-carriage rides
(there will be two carriages this year!), a winter farmer's market, roasted
cinnamon nuts, a children's winter carnival, live music in the Jingle Jam
Music Tent, roasted marshmallows, photos with Santa and much, much more.
The Winter Glow is produced by the City of East Lansing and is sponsored by
the MSU Federal Credit Union, Downtown East Lansing merchants, the East
Lansing Arts Commission and D.L. Kessler Construction Inc. The event is

Community members are encouraged to support their local businesses at Green
Friday - downtown East Lansing's version of the popular Black Friday sales.
Holiday shoppers will enjoy a variety of sales and specials offered at the
eclectic mix of shops, galleries, boutiques and restaurants located in
downtown East Lansing.
Green Friday (and Saturday too!) will take place Friday, Dec. 5 and
Saturday, Dec. 6 in downtown East Lansing. Business hours will vary among
participating merchants.
A coupon for free parking (on Friday, Dec. 5) is available in an
advertisement insert in the Lansing State Journal and City Pulse today,
