Hi there....thank you for your interest......my wife was Chinese and passed
away two years ago...I'm an American.....( a Lau-Why !? ) and lived in
China for six years... so Vince is half Chinese and half American and he
was born here in Michigan.....

Because we talk to my son's grandparents who live in China via Skype on
Sunday mornings I would like to have Vince become more familiar with the
Chinese language, at the least conversationally ....currently he has had
some limited Chinese language exposure and is developing some Chinese
language abilities...oral ,reading and writing...but they are very
rudimentary, which is fine for having had only 12 lessons / sessions..

His current (?) tutor's Visa was only good for an additional 7 months and
she was busy with her studies and also wanted time to travel, ....so she
felt unable to have enough time to do everything she desired.....she is a
very nice person and we liked her and all of us got along together very
well.....so it is understandable about her time limitations....

I prefer a women tutor so as to allow Vince to have a women's hand instead
of always only his father's touch......my requirements are that a tutor be
more of a friend, playmate, big sister interaction / approach instead of a
traditional formal structured approach....no real experience is necessary
as a tutor.... (however....you must be a non smoker no drug usage)....just
a nice happy, sunny, caring disposition and reasonable English language
skills so as to be able to communicate between the teacher and , not
student, but rather thinking as towards a little brother.....I hope that
you can understand the concept of being easy going no rushing no hurrying
as we are very easy going people and would like a tutor who is likewise ..

Our available times for tutoring would be any time other than M-W- Friday
mornings between 8:30 A.M. and 11:30 A.M. as Vince is in preschool during
these times....because there is no bus service to our house I can pick up
and drop off within a reasonable distance of our house location which is
near and between Saint Martha's Church and Meridian road off of Grand River
in Okemos...I was picking up Vince's tutor from Meijer's parking lot and
then driving her back to her home.....normally we would pick her up at
11:00 A.M. ( we are not morning people! ) and at some point during tutoring
we would stop and have a late lunch together...so far my cooking has not
killed anyone so it must be OK?...

Please tell me more about you...what is your age?..are you married ?..do
you have any children?....what is the time frame of your Visa?.....do you
drive?...what is your hourly rate expectation?...during which days and
times / when would you be available for tutoring?...please give me your
phone number and best time to reach you?.....perhaps the three of us can
meet and say hello ?....take care....
