BitLocker is supposed to be significantly faster in Windows 8.1 that it is in 8.0.
UEFI, Pervasive Device Encryption, and BitLocker should work for sensitive or secret, but not classified, data. Windows 8.1 gives you or the user the capability of storing the BitLocker key on your network or their SkyDrive account.
An encrypted hard dive should do the trick.

Subject: [MSUNAG] Looking at encryption options for windows laptops
That about says it. So far I'm not very happy with what I'm seeing.
Anyone having good results and not slowing things down horribly?
I'm used to encrypting a single partition, but I'm not seeing much in the way of anything other than whole disk encryption.
Thoughts? Thanks all...
