Dear Colleagues:

Have an impact and be part of the creation of one of China’s and the World’s leading business schools--Nottingham University Business School China--China’s first and largest Sino-Foreign University Business School.  Nottingham University Business School China (NUBS China) is currently recruiting for the following long-term positions (See below) for the Fall of 2014 and the Spring of 2015.  We are interviewing at the AOM conference. NUBS China currently has approximately 2,500 full-time students.  It has an international faculty of 85, coming from over 25 countries, permanently based in Ningbo.  It is EQUIS accredited and is part of a university that is highly rated and is seeking to improve further its ranking among the world’s top research and teaching activersities.  NUBS China has ambitious plans under the leadership of Dean Carl Fey to expand including increasing its focus on high quality research which makes an impact, making sure there are good links between research and teaching, focusing on interactive teaching methods, increasing interaction with business, and developing executive education. NUBS China is focused around its three Is: Innovative, international, and interactive.  NUBS China, which carries out instruction in English, is also significantly increasing its research focus and provides an excellent environment for scholars interested in pursuing an active research agenda. Ningbo is located less than 2 hours from Shanghai by train and 3 hours by car. It is a relatively high-income city for China, with a per capita income (PPP basis) of about US $12,000. Ningbo, which is a key center for entrepreneurship in China, has one of China’s largest deep-water ports, a modern airport with excellent connections to cities such as Beijing, Hong Kong, Seoul and Taipei and high-speed rail connections to other major cities in China. It has international schools, excellent shopping facilities and an attractive multicultural nightlife. It also has many rivers, lakes and mountains in the outskirts and is considered to be one of the cities in China which has the best quality of life.

NUBS China offers European-level competitive salaries and expat benefits with reasonable teaching loads and a strong focus on research which can make an impact.  Candidates are expected to have a PhD in a relevant area by the time they start to work.  Excellent English communication skills are essential.  Candidates are also expected to have demonstrated an ability to conduct high-quality research together with strong teaching abilities.
