An international office of MSU is hiring student assistants to help with summer and fall programs. There are two kinds of job positions. Title:Student Assistant/Translator - China Job Description:Assist program coordinators with workshop implementation. Will assist coordinators and faculty with translation of presentations from English to Chinese and Chinese to Englsih. Must have outgoing personality and willingness to help international visitors. Student will drive University vehicles to assist newly arriving visiting scholars with settlement; including but not limited to, picking up at local airports, driving them to various local places during the workshop and other tasks as assigned. Qualifications:Fluent in spoken and written Chinese and English. Some written and oral translation experience between Chinese and English. Preferred majors are TESOL, Education, Communication, English or relevant areas. Valid driver¡¯s license and clean driving record. 2. Title:Student Assistant - China Job Description:Assist program coordinators with various program in VIPP. Must have outgoing personality and willingness to help international visitors. Student will drive University vehicles to assist newly arriving visiting scholars with settlement; including but not limited to, picking up at local airports, driving them to banks to help them establish bank accounts, cell phone stores to set-up phone plans, social security office to apply for social security number, etc. Other tasks as assigned. Qualifications:Fluent in spoken and written Chinese and English. Valid driver¡¯s license and clean driving record.
