The Academic Specialist Advisory Committee is the voice of the Academic
Specialist in the academic governance system at MSU. ASAC is composed of
14 Academic Specialists representing the 5 functional areas of Teaching,
Curriculum Development, Outreach, Advising, and Research. Nominations
are now being solicited to serve on ASAC with elections to be held in
the coming weeks. It has been my pleasure to serve on ASAC, I am in my
third year, with two years remaining on my elected term. My service to
ASAC started with my own self nomination, followed by running for an
elected position when a vacancy in my functional area opened on the
committee. In this round of elections there is an usually large number
of positions up for election. ASAC is calling you to service; we are in
need of your talents to represent Academic Specialists. Please step
forward to run for office by submitting a self nomination. See the
attachment to do so. I guarantee that you will enjoy working with your
colleagues on this important committee.
Please contact me should you have questions regarding the forum or the
elections to ASAC.
Cordially,
Mike
