This is old news. As I recall Steve Gibson talked about this at
length on his Security Now! podcasts (browse the archive at
www.grc.com/SecurityNow.htm ), and since then Microsoft has altered
the settings to at least allow the .NET Framework Assistant Firefox
plugin to be easily disabled or removed.
