Subject: Downadup or Conficker worm

I guess lots of folks still don't patch. CNN has a current article that
this worm has currently infected 8 million PCs.
http://www.cnn.com/2009/TECH/ptech/01/16/virus.downadup/index.html

MS has released new virus alerts about it, too, with nice descriptions
of symptoms.

http://www.microsoft.com/security/portal/Entry.aspx?Name=Win32/Conficker

The patch was released to MS auto-updates in late October - my notes
show 10/29/08.

Just fyi...

Correct. The patch for it came out in October 2008, as I posted last
week about this issue. If you are patching regularly, you should be
fine.

I also included the URLS with the details and patch for it in my post
last week. Here you go again -- since it seems to have been missed...

OK, so this is not a new threat, right? At least for those who have been

keeping up their A/V, firewall, and MS patches.
