Dear Mike, I respectfully disagree (at least in this particular case). Listservs are
valuable way to disseminate info AND prompt discussion. There are some ground rules,
mostly having to do with political diatribe, but I don't see that happening here. And the
comments in this latest exchange had merit for all involved, hence the momentum they
generated. In fact, this is one of the least active groups in which I'm involved. I was
encouraged to see this discussion generated here. I strongly support your suggestion to
move this conversation to an open forum, as limiting as that context can be for this kind
of discussion.
