I was approached in my office a couple of months ago by a person who said
he was trying to educate non-tenured faculty about unionizing
possibilities. He was not from MSU, and he didn't seem to have much grasp
of the issues that are facing us in MSU. I wasn't impressed, and when he
asked me to sign my name as someone who was interested in a union, I
declined -- not because I am not interested, but I didn't think he was much
of a representative of what the union supposedly could do for us at MSU.
I have not heard any further information about meetings, etc. Thanks to
all for sharing their experiences.
