Dean of Humanities and Social Sciences, Central Virginia Community
College - Lynchburg, VA
The dean supervises faculty and staff in the division of Humanities and
Social Sciences and works with a college counselor dedicated to the
division to provide leadership for the division in recruiting and
retaining students, maintaining, evaluating, improving, and marketing
already existing programs, and actively creating and promoting new
programs to meet the community's educational and training needs.
Required Skills: Master's Degree, (Doctorate preferred); evidence of
creating successful educational and training programs to meet business,
industry, and community needs; and evidence of providing leadership
coordinating grants to support programs/ activities.
