We are putting in two demo "high tech" Colabrative Technology labs.
They will have a walk and talk white board system, Plasma display, fast computers, internet video conferencing, Digital video camer check out, etc.
One feature is an Epson R1800 photo grade printer. We need to be able to have the users send jobs to a print queue and hold them until the user can tell the desk people what size paper the job needs (4x6 to 13x44 inches ) and pay for the print.
My short term solution is to just connect it to a computer, pause the print queue and Un-pause specific jobs. That isn't efficient and requires training student labor how to release just one print job at a time. There is an e-token solution used in our copy center that does this, but it is tied to the e-token system. I need a single computer solution.
Any one doing this type of thing?
Any ideas?
Thanks.
