E. Desmond Lee Endowed Professorship
for Developing Women Leaders and Entrepreneurs
in International Business at the University of Missouri-St. Louis


The University of Missouri-St. Louis seeks to fill the E. Desmond Lee 
Endowed Professorship for Developing Women Leaders and Entrepreneurs in 
International Business for Fall 2006. The individual hired will hold a 
joint appointment in the College of Business Administration and the 
Institute for Women’s and Gender Studies and will also collaborate with 
relevant community organizations. Through research, teaching, and 
service, the holder of this chaired professorship is expected to 
identify and develop best practices to support the advancement of women 
leaders and entrepreneurs in international and domestic business. The 
individual hired also is expected to develop programs for the campus 
and 
broader community designed to promote the participation of women at all 
levels of academic, entrepreneurial, cultural, and public service 
enterprises.

The E. Desmond Lee Endowed Professorship for Developing Women Leaders 
and Entrepreneurs in International Business is one of the 
professorships 
in the Des Lee Collaborative Vision (DLCV) at UM-St. Louis. The DLCV is 
made up of 35 internationally known endowed professors. The mission of 
the DLCV is to bring knowledge, expertise, and resources to work in 
collaboration with civic, cultural, business, educational, and 
governmental organizations to provide the vision and leadership that 
will enhance, support and strengthen the region for the benefit of all 
its citizens. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to be a 
part 
of the DLCV and provide leadership in respect to their discipline, 
guiding student research, and responding to the needs of the community.

The College of Business Administration has made a major commitment to 
international business in recent years. Its undergraduate program in 
international business is currently ranked as the sixteenth best such 
program in the United States. In Fall 2005, the College launched its 
new 
International MBA program in partnership with universities in Europe 
and 
Asia.

This position is open to faculty from all business disciplines. 
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. and be eligible for tenure in the College 
of Business Administration. Applicants should have strong records of 
research and teaching in the relevant fields. Interested individuals 
should send a vita and other relevant supporting materials to Diane

University of Missouri - St. Louis, MO 63121-4499. We will begin 
screening applications December 1, 2005. Applications will be accepted 
until the position is filled.
