WAIB DIRECTORY 2005
The 2005 edition of the WAIB (Women in the Academy of International
Business) Directory will shortly (in the next day or so) be available
for downloading from the WAIB website (http://cibs.tamu.edu/waib).
The Directory contains the names, mailing addresses, and email addresses
of more than 400 faculty, staff, administrators and graduate student
members of WAIB. Please note that the email addresses are already
hot-linked so that clicking on an email address opens up an email box.
In order to secure the directory from 'bots' and other organizations
that may be trolling the Internet looking for addresses and emails, the
directory has been password protected. When you download and open the
file, it will ask for a password. You must enter "waib2005" (no caps, no
quotation marks). The file will then be accessible.
The WAIB Executive would like to encourage all AIB and WAIB members to
email this file or give a printed copy to their department head, chair,
dean and other individuals involved in search activities (e.g., for
jobs, visiting positions, guest speakers) where this directory would be
useful, particularly in search situations where women are typically
underrepresented. Remember to send the password also! Since hiring
committees have already been established at many universities, with
interviewing taking place at national and international meetings this
summer (e.g., AIB, AoM), please circulate the directory ASAP.
Errors and omissions to the directory should be corrected directly on
the WAIB website under "How to Join" at
http://cibs.tamu.edu/waib/join.asp.
The WAIB annual meeting will be held at the AIB conference in Quebec
City on Monday morning, July 11, from 7:00am until 8:30am in Room 205C
in the Convention Center. A light breakfast will be provided at the
meeting. We hope to see you there!
