Dear WAIB members,
Following up on my recent email inviting you to nominate yourself or a
fellow WAIB member as a candidate for election to an officer position,
please find attached for your information the final draft of WAIB's new
Constitution and By-Laws. WAIB is a special interest group of the
Academy of International Business.
We shall vote to approve this document during the annual business
meeting of WAIB, scheduled for Monday July 11, 7.00-8.30am at the AIB
conference in Quebec City. A light breakfast will be served immediately
before this meeting.
In the attached document you will find details about the various
officer positions and responsibilities. Note that these also include
one position for a currently enrolled PhD student, as Student
Member-at-Large.
The other officer positions available for election are: President,
Vice-President, Secretary-Treasurer, and (Faculty) Member-at-Large.
Lorraine Eden, founder of WAIB, is responsible for running the email
ballot this year. Please send your nomination(s) to Lorraine at:

Remember to include a brief rationale for your interest in an officer
position. If you are nominating someone else, please include a specific
statement that this person accepts your nomination.
Please pass along information about WAIB and the upcoming election to
your colleagues and students who are members of AIB and have an
interest in gender-related issues and research. The WAIB webpage is

After the AIB2005 conference in Quebec City, I shall pass into the role
of Past President and I look forward to supporting the incoming officer
team.
