I'm a little confused with the "shipping penalty". How much (on average)
are people paying for a rack? Half Height and/or Full Height... I
figured that shipping for such an item would cost about $150 - $250. I'm
in the process of ordering a half height one for about $1,600, so I'm
not seeing why it's such a big deal. Factoring time taken for 2
employees to drive someplace, pick it up, and return would cost at least
$40 on student labor and upwards of $80 for your average newly-hired
techies... I figure it's worth it to have it sitting in my office
without lifting a finger. Thoughts, Suggestions?

Bryan,
Fulton Radio & Electronic Supply on Pennsylvania Ave sells a wide range
of
equipment racks and accessories. We order from them for the very reason
you
mention; we can pick it up ourselves.
