Subject: Diversity in Management Scholarships at Instituto de Empresa
(Madrid)
With thanks to Olga Veligurska, the CEEMAN Coordinator, I am forwarding
information about the Diversity in Management Scholarship 2004 for Women
from New EU Member Countries. I have presented the information below. I
have reviewed the IE website, and have not seen reference to the
Diversity in Management Scholarship. So, it seems to me that interested
list members should visit the IE International MBA or International
Executive MBA Programmes to learn more about the opportunity.
Instituto de Empresa (IE) is a leading European business school,
renowned for its global approach, its entrepreneurial and innovative
character, its applied research projects and its penchant for socially
responsible projects. Accredited by AMBA, AACSB International and EQUIS,
IE is considered by the international media (Financial Times, Wall
Street Journal, The Economist) as an important player in worldwide
management education, being consistently ranked as one of Europe's top
five business schools.
The Diversity in Management Scholarship 2004 for Women from New EU
Member Countries is a merit-based scholarship aimed at empowering bright
young businesswomen who are eager to develop the skills and knowledge
needed to contribute to the sustainable development of their
communities. Eligible candidates will be female nationals from one of
the following countries: Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary,
Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia
This scholarship programme is administered by the Centre for Diversity
in Global Management and the Instituto de Empresa Foundation. Although
primarily a merit based scholarship, priority will be given to
candidates who can demonstrate economic need.
The Selection Committee considers applications from individuals who have
successfully completed the admissions process for IE's International MBA
or International Executive MBA programmes. The application deadline is
September 5, 2004.
To assist new applicants in applying for a place on IE's International
MBA programme, we will be holding IE Admissions Exams in Warsaw
(Poland), Budapest (Hungary), and Vilnius (Lithuania). There are 20
scholarships, each of which cover 50% of programme fees. To welcome the
newest members of the European Union and to further Instituto de
Empresa's commitment to sustainable development through the training of
socially responsible leaders, the Instituto de Empresa Foundation and
the Centre for Diversity in Global Management have launched The
Diversity in Management Scholarship 2004 for Women from New EU Member
Countries.
