Hello WAIB members,
I am forwarding the following position and PhD study announcements to
WAIB members because the University of Vienna is seeking specifically
to increase its number of women faculty and students.

Please share this information with your colleagues and graduate
students who may have some proficiency in German, as required in the

seeking to fill the following positions in the area of International
Marketing:

>1. One Assistant Professor (fixed-term position, 6 years) - ref.
37944/BM, to be engaged in the teaching and research programme of the
Chair of International Marketing, with a major concentration in export
marketing, global marketing and cross-cultural research. The successful
candidate will be expected to contribute to introductory marketing
courses as well as to the new International Marketing major and
undertake high-quality research in international marketing. A PhD in
marketing, business administration or related field is required as is
sound knowledge of marketing theory and quantitative methods. Excellent
command of English and a working knowledge of German are also expected
(most courses can be taught in English). Relevant teaching and research
experience would be an advantage.

Assistant Professors (fixed-term posts, 4 years) ref. 37943/BM, same
responsibilities as above. For the 6-year position, a completed PhD in
marketing, business administration or related area is required as is
sound knowledge of marketing theory and quantitative methods. For the
4-year posts, a first-degree in marketing, business administration or
related area is required and a masters degree is desirable. In
addition, it is expected that the successful candidates will register
for a PhD. For all positions, excellent command of English and a
working knowledge of German are necessary.

>The University of Vienna is seeking to increase the proportion of women
in senior positions and within its scientific personnel. The
University, therefore, explicitly encourages applications from suitably
qualified female applicants. In case of equally-qualified applicants,
preference will be given to women candidates.
