The Airespace Wireless Enterprise Platform is an end-to-end
WLAN system that enables business critical wireless services.
It consists of various intelligent hardware and software
components that were designed from the ground up to meet
individual enterprise requirements.
These components include:
Airespace 4000 WLAN Switch - provides both wireless and
wireline switching functions in a single, cost effective
platform. By leveraging Airespace's unique AireOS
embedded software, the Airespace 4000 WLAN Switch
intelligently handles RF management, security, and
mobility for enterprise environments.
Airespace 4100 WLAN Appliance - leverages Airespace's
AireOS embedded software to provide RF management,
security, and mobility functions on top of existing
Ethernet networks. The Airespace 4100 WLAN Appliance
enables wireless LAN services to be seamlessly deployed
in conjunction with any existing enterprise network.
Airespace 1200 Access Point - contains 802.11 A/B/G radio
antennae and traffic forwarding capabilities to provide
network connectivity to wireless clients. The Airespace
1200R Remote Edge Access Point is a unique variant of the
Airespace 1200 AP, designed to cost effectively extend
intelligent WLAN services to remote offices.
Airespace Control System (ACS) software - The industry's
leading platform for WLAN systems management. ACS provides
IT staff with detailed visibility into the RF domain for
easy wireless configuration, automated network optimization,
rapid troubleshooting, and the creation of enterprise-wide
WLAN policies. The following features distinguish ACS from
alternative WLAN management platforms:
* WLAN Planning - ACS combines advanced RF prediction
capabilities with integrated site survey tools for
accurate WLAN planning and design.
* Intelligent RF Management - ACS provides a portal
into the robust RF management capabilities provided by
Airespace's AireWave Director. Software. By establishing
an intelligent RF control plane across an entire enterprise,
the Airespace system ensures optimal performance under
any situation.
* Wireless Protection System - Airespace offers the
industry's only completely integrated solution for
wireless protection - no separate APs, monitoring devices,
or appliances are required. Whether preventing wireless
services altogether or protecting an existing corporate
WLAN from unauthorized activity, Airespace has all of
the tools necessary to protect your wireless domain.
